Our Team has been actively involved in the Automotive Market Place for the last 32 years. We have had several Automotive Mechanical Engineers that we have consulted with on the development of this Spare Tire Cover. We had developed several prototypes of this spare tire cover and have done extensive testing in the heat and cold to determine the best design and material required for this harsh environment. About Us
This product was developed (2006) after I personally experienced a Pick-up Truck lose his spare tire on the expressway damaging several vehicle and eventually crashing thru a windshield of a passenger car and injuring the driver. What these owners of these vehicle fail to realize is - they are liable for this damage and any injuries that occur. Since I was working in the Automotive Market, I have had many discussions with the OEM Development Engineers for these vehicles and the OEM's have no plans to provide any Protective Covers for these Spare Tires. At this point, I reviewed the Automotive Market to see how many vehicle have this spare tire located under vehicle and discovered over a 7 year period, there is 23 Million Vehicle still on the road today that have no protection for these Spare Tires. 50 percent of the time the vehicle owner are not aware that they had lost their spare tire.
After years of providing this Spare Protector to these vehicle owners it has reached a point where this needs to be address as a Safety issue and should be required on these vehicles.
